Located in the heart of New Haven's historic Wooster Street neighborhood, Consiglio's has been a City tradition since it was established in the 1930s by Italian immigrants Annunziata and Salvatore Consiglio.

Hours of Operation:
* Lunch: Tuesday - Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (and Monday's throughout December)
* Dinner: Monday - Saturday: 4:30 p.m.
and Sunday: 1:00 p.m.

The food is delicious, and the waitstaff is courteous and attentive. The place itself is a bit crowded, but definitely a good place to take someone you have an interest in. :)

My wife and I went to this restaurant for our anniversary. I had been here several years earlier and the food and service were very good. Unfortunately, this time, the waitress that we had was very poor. After we were seated by the hostess, it was several minutes before she came by to see us. I knew this was a bad sign, but I ingnored it. I must say the appetizers that we order were very tasty, however, that was the only highlight of our meal. It took about an hour to get our salads and another ten minutes to receive our entrees (this only after we asked the hostess when we would receive them). When we did get our entrees, my wife's meal was cooked perfectly, however my steak, which was ordered "medium" ws almost raw. I would have complained to our waitress, but she never returned to check on how things were (either after the appetizers were delivered or after our entrees were delivered). Also, during the time that we were at the restaurants, several couples who came in much later than we did, were seated, served and left. All in all I would not recommend this restaurant, I would have expected for the price that we paid, that at the very least the service and food would have been better.

A really nice restaurant for a romantic dinner or just a casual luncheon. the decor was beautiful & classy. let me not forget the food was, it was delicious, everything from apps to dessert.
